Donneurs de sens – Season 2: 101 courses, episode 4
The Public Mothers’ Milk Bank
Did you know that there’s a Public Mothers’ Milk Bank in Québec? And did you know that more than 1,000 moms contribute to it every year?
Héma-Québec collects, tests and pasteurizes the milk, which can then be prescribed to some premature babies who were born before 32 weeks. The antibodies in the milk give them the little soldiers they need to fight for their fragile health. Québec loves its children, and this solidarity between moms is living proof!
