Donate mother's milk
Poonam, mother's milk donor
Give milk. Give life.
The Public Mothers’ Milk Bank helps mothers and their premature babies who need medical care. Around a third of mothers who give birth prematurely have difficulty producing enough milk to feed their baby. Your extra breast milk is more valuable than you think.
Who can donate breast milk?
Any healthy person with an overproduction of milk can donate their milk if they meet certain criteria.
How does breast milk donation work?
You can freeze your extra milk at your own pace. Héma-Québec will give you a comprehensive information guide to support you every step of the way.
How can I join the Milk Bank?
First, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria, then read the Consent to Human Milk Donation. Then, you can register by filling out our form.

On rare occasions, your donated milk may be used for teaching or quality control purposes. If your donation (or a portion of it) cannot be used by the Public Mothers’ Milk Bank, it may be used for research, with your consent.
